Year of Young People 2018 will go live to the world in a spectacular Torchlight Procession on the 30th December, as part of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay 2017.
During autumn/winter this year, a Scotland wide engagement campaign with young people will seek to reach their peers between the ages of 8 to 26 over in a quest to find #ScotWord. This one word will form the fiery finale of the popular Torchlight Procession sharing with the world the answer of Scotland’s young people to the question “What makes you most proud to live in Scotland?”
Underbelly, the long-term Fringe Festival promoter, is working with Young Scot and EventScotland, part of VisitScotland’s Events Directorate to run the project.
Full details about how to get involved will follow in the coming months. In the meantime, check out Edinburgh’s Hogmanay site by clicking here.
