Plans are brewing for 2018 – keep an eye on this page to stay up-to-date.

Young people are at the heart of the planning and decision making for YoYP 2018. We believe in a co-design approach to what we do. This simply means involving young people much earlier in the planning process in order to shape activity, rather than basic consulting at the end.

Young Scot, Children in Scotland and Scottish Youth Parliament have created a handy guide which sets out the benefits of co-design and ways you can involve young people in your planning.

3. Promote equality and be accessible to all young people
4. Demonstrate sustainability (whether in attracting other resources or in leaving a legacy)

Activity must be delivered between 1 January and 31 December 2018.

For more information on how to apply, check out  YouthLink Scotland’s website. Good luck!

Young people can apply for up to £1,000 of funding to run events in their local area as part of Year of Young People 2018 celebrations.

Run by Young Scot and EventScotland, the fund is a chance for eight to 26 year olds to grow their entrepreneurial skills, while showcasing their talent within local communities.

Events can be anything from film festivals to gigs, theatre and dance performances or fashion shows.  Deadline to apply is 22nd January 2018.
